At BombaySutra, we want you to feel confident when shopping for women's ethnic wear with us. This policy explains the conditions under which an order may be cancelled, exchanged, replaced, or refunded. Any product-specific terms displayed on the product page or at checkout will also apply.
1. Contact Us Promptly
If you receive a damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete order, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery. Include your order number, the phone number or email address used at checkout, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the item, packaging, and shipping label.
Please keep the item and its original packaging safe and unused while we review your request.
2. Eligibility for an Exchange or Replacement
Subject to product availability and inspection, BombaySutra may offer an exchange or replacement if:

An incorrect item was delivered.

An item arrived damaged or defective.

A size exchange is expressly available for the relevant product.
Items must generally be unused, unwashed, unaltered, with their original tags and packaging, and in resalable condition. We may request additional photographs or measurements before reviewing your request.
An exchange or replacement is not confirmed until BombaySutra communicates its approval. If the original item is unavailable, we may offer another appropriate resolution in accordance with applicable law.
3. Items Generally Not Eligible for Return or Exchange
Unless required by applicable law or agreed to by BombaySutra in writing, the following may not be eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

Change of mind after placing an order.

Colour differences caused by screen settings or display preferences.

Changes in fabric, style, or personal preferences.

Incorrect size selection by the customer when a size guide was available.

Items showing signs of wear, washing, perfume, stains, alterations, or damage after delivery.

Items with missing tags or original packaging.

Customized, personalized, made-to-measure, clearance, or final-sale products, where permitted by law.
These exclusions do not limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
4. Return Shipping and Inspection
If BombaySutra confirms that an issue resulted from an incorrect, damaged, or defective item, our team will explain the applicable return or pickup procedure.
For an approved customer-requested exchange, shipping or handling charges may apply where disclosed at checkout or communicated by our team.
Please do not send any item back without receiving instructions from BombaySutra. Unapproved returns may be delayed or refused.
5. Refunds
Once an approved return has been received and passes inspection, any eligible refund will be processed to the original payment method or through another method permitted by applicable law.
The time required for the refund to appear in your account depends on the payment provider and your bank.
Shipping charges, Cash on Delivery charges, customs duties, taxes, and other fees may be non-refundable where permitted by law.
If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, refusal of delivery, or repeated failed delivery attempts, any refund or reshipment charges will be assessed in accordance with our Shipping Policy and applicable law.
6. Order Cancellations
Please submit cancellation requests through our Contact page or by emailing bombaysutra.care@gmail.com as soon as possible after placing your order.
We will make reasonable efforts to stop an order before processing or dispatch, but cancellation cannot be guaranteed once processing has started or the parcel has been handed over to the shipping carrier.
Customized or made-to-order products may not be cancellable after production begins, where permitted by law.
Any approved refund will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the payment provider's processing timelines.
7. International Orders
International orders may be subject to additional return, exchange, customs, and shipping requirements.
Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are generally the customer's responsibility and may not be refundable.
Please contact BombaySutra before sending an international return so that we can confirm whether a return, exchange, or alternative resolution is available for your order.
8. Fraud and Abuse
BombaySutra reserves the right to review and, where justified, decline requests that appear fraudulent, abusive, repetitive, or inconsistent with the condition of the item or the available order records, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.
9. Return and Refund Request Window
Return, exchange, replacement, cancellation, and refund requests should be submitted within 3 calendar days of delivery.
Requests received after this period may be declined where permitted by applicable law. This timeframe does not override any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available under applicable law.
