At BombaySutra, we prepare and dispatch every order with care. This policy explains how delivery works, what may affect delivery timelines, and what to do if your order is delayed or arrives with an issue.
1. Processing and Dispatch
Orders are reviewed after checkout and may require payment, address, product, or customization verification before dispatch. Processing time depends on product availability, finishing, personalization, and quality checks.
Made-to-order or customized products may require additional time. Any specific estimate displayed on the product page or at checkout will apply to that order.
Once your order is handed over to the shipping carrier, we will share the available tracking information through the contact details provided at checkout. Please note that tracking updates may take some time to appear after pickup.
2. Delivery Estimates
Delivery estimates displayed at checkout are approximate and are not guaranteed. Transit times may be affected by the destination, courier capacity, weather conditions, public holidays, festivals, remote-area services, customs procedures, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
If the shipping carrier reports a delivery issue, we may contact you to confirm your address or arrange the next appropriate step.
3. Delivery Address and Delivery Attempts
Please verify your name, phone number, postal code, and complete delivery address before placing an order.
You may request an address change through our Contact Us page before dispatch. However, address changes cannot be guaranteed once the parcel has been handed over to the shipping carrier.
If a parcel is returned because of an incorrect address, an unavailable recipient, refusal of delivery, or repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts, reshipment or carrier charges may be payable by the customer. Any refund will be handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.
4. Shipping Charges and Service Areas
For domestic orders within India, standard shipping is currently free for orders of ₹1 or more. Cash on Delivery (COD) is available for eligible domestic orders.
Other destinations, shipping methods, and applicable charges will be displayed at checkout. Promotional free-shipping offers, where available, are subject to the terms specified in the relevant offer.
Some postal codes, remote locations, or products may not be serviceable. If we cannot ship an accepted order to your selected address, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
5. Domestic and International Orders
For deliveries within India, the delivery estimate and shipping charges displayed at checkout for your postal code will apply.
For international deliveries, customers are responsible for import duties, customs charges, local taxes, and any carrier or clearance fees imposed by the destination country, unless checkout explicitly states otherwise.
Customs-related delays are beyond our reasonable control. International parcels may not be released for delivery until applicable duties, taxes, or clearance charges have been paid.
6. Packaging and Delivery Inspection
We package orders carefully to help protect products during normal transit.
Please inspect the outer packaging and products promptly after delivery. If an item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or different from what you ordered, retain the packaging and contact us through our Contact Us page as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label so our team can review the issue. Any resolution will be handled in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable law.
